Home > learn to earn online

hello friends! I m graphic designer and animator, I want to start my own freelancing and get some work online also. I m currently building my own website and I want to add some e-shopping carts for customers. I want to earn from them directly through online money transaction services like paypal, alertpay. and I don’t have very good knowledge about online-payment. I used paypal once transfered money to my bank account, but here, things is different I want to get money from customer directly to paypal from their bank/credit card or paypal account.

Is there any traning about how to do?I can purchase any dvd which will teach that thing, or any simple method that can be used? HELP.

PayPal is the easiest payment gateway for websites, and the cheapest and fastest!
Their technical assistance, on the other hand, is pathetic…
You can download all the manuals from them, but you are wasting your time: out of the 600 pages manuals, you need ONE page of script (~50 lines of code!) I have done it for you.

First, you must set-up an account with paypal (free), but this is not enough: you MUST get your account "Verified" that is, linked to one of your credit cards and to a bank account. This may take up to a week to achieve.
Once it is verified:
Go to http://www.web2coders.com
Download the Shopping cart script: it has the basic the develop a catalogue of items, the shopping cart and goes to checkout.
Download te "Easy PayPal Integration" to install your gateway.
(All in php/mysql)
Good luck!

Hi,
I am a student and doing a BCA degree from distance learning. I am currently working in a call centre and getting around 15000 Rs monthly. But now i am looking to work from home only and is trying to earn 15000 – 20000 Rs monthly. I would be working for around 10 to 12 hours daily and i am also a computer savvy person. Is It possible? I am looking for the response from the person who had done it already and is earning from it. I also don’t want to invest any money for now but if i think that it is really working and there is no scam at all than i will pay the money for sure. Please guide me? Also if you can provide me your Phone no. than i will be interested in talking to you for the same reason?

you can certainly earn that amount every month, just make sure you are having a good amount of experience and accuracy and you can apply some brains while working.

then you can do good data entry work.

try it, you just might like it.

Hi there. I want to start earning for myself. Im still a student but im willing to learn. I have a big savings and im willing to use it as a capital. Can you suggest a website where i can get tips to get started? or an ebook for dummies or something like that to assist me in beginning?

There are plenty of sites to begin with. But most of the time a lot of them are just claims and fakes. To be able to be successful in this kind of venture you should learn a lot. The key is to read and read and apply them to see which one works for you better. DavidandChip.com is where i learn the basics and having a good foundations will really help you a lot.

I know some courses require hands on learning to be effective and worth the money, but would this be one of them? I am seriously thinking of getting in this field to earn a better living.

Fact is, you don’t need that training to get that job. You need certification. For a bench tech you’ll want CompTIA A+ certification.

The best way to prepare for that certification is a course specifically preparing for it. Your community college is probably the best bet. Most online courses in computer repair won’t cover nearly enough information to get you certified.

Most of the people I know that have the A+ learned all of the material on their own with the help of a good study guide, some training video (such as CBT Nuggets), and a few scrap computers to take apart and repair. You don’t need a classroom to have the "hands-on" time but having someone around that knows how to fix what you mess up really helps.

As for earning a better living – unless you’re earning under about $10-12 per hour, entry-level bench techs aren’t paid a whole lot. Most enjoy their work though. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos186.htm#oes_links The problem is supply of labor – every 13 year old gamer knows how to build a computer. It’s just not as high tech an industry as it used to be. On the other hand, repairers of some other consumer electronics are going to become increasingly in high demand. Try to find someone to fix your iPod or Xbox in most towns without sending it off in the mail.

Don’t confuse this line of work with computer programmers, systems analysts, network engineers, etc… those people generally need a 4-year degree and work experience.

Online college?

Archived in the category: learn to earn online

Currently I go to a community college and I’m looking to transfer soon. However, every day I see all these advirtisments about earning your degree online? I’d love to learn more about it if anyone knows anything. Do employers look down on degrees earned online?

Itshould not say that It was from online……form what I have been reading……

I am interested in becoming a clinical psychologist and while i doubt i will do it online (there is a university not too far that would fit me perfectly), i do wonder about people’s perception of earning a PsyD in clinical psychology online.

I have read a lot of questions and answers about people taking the online route, usually at Capella or Walden, and many of the responders always say "you can’t learn clinical psychology online! It is too hands on of a career to learn it online. There is no way you could do it" and so forth. However, i often wonder, when people make such statements about clinical programs online, like Capella, do they realize it is mostly in person training? I actually know someone who earned their PsyD from Capella in clinical and we figured out he spent only about 35-40% of his time "online", the rest of his training was in person.

Do most realize this about online psychology doctorates or is there blind discrimination for them?

On-line will no be recognized by the APA or licensing boards. Don’t waste your time and money.

I am currently a sophomore enrolled in a public high school, but I want to transfer into an online school. I am considering Ashworth College’s College Prep Online program. I want to be able to graduate a year early, but because I didn’t start off at my current school in my freshmen year, they won’t allow me to. Last year as a freshmen, I went to a really rundown public high school for my first semester and an online high school for my second semester (Primavera, which was free since I lived in Arizona). I now live in North Carolina, and there are no options for high school students who prefer independent study and distance-learning. The public high school I am now attending is uncooperative and not at all supportive, and the social/classroom environment is a mess.
The Ashworth program costs $1,295, and you can pay $45 a month. My mom and I can’t afford this right now, so we asked for my dad’s help (my parent’s are divorced). I only need them to pay for the first month, as I would get a part-time job and start paying for the program on my own. My dad has since threatened to cut off all communication with me unless I return to my public high school, or unless I can prove to him that earning my diploma from an online school is no different to colleges then earning a diploma from a public high school.
I find it strange that he won’t support me in this endeavor, because he always talks about how my brother and I need to get good grades and go to college. All I am trying to do is succeed. I get straight A’s, and I even completed my Spanish I course online in just one month last semester when the school couldn’t find a teacher and we had a month without instruction (most kids failed the course because they were playing online games instead of doing the work). I’m sick of being belittled and pushed around by the public school system. My brother, who is a year younger than I am, is living with my dad, attending the same school, and is currently doing drugs and receiving C’s, D’s and B’s, even though he is actually very smart and talented.
Is he not being supportive because I’m not living with him? He isn’t doing anything about my brother’s situation, but he is very upset about mine.
He says that colleges will frown upon an online education.
Ashworth is accredited, and I called all of the colleges I’d like to attend to ensure that they would accept the diploma. I even asked if they valued public school diplomas over distance-learning ones, and they said that they are no different in their eyes.
I also feel that with an online school, the study is more independent, whereas in a public school you are constantly being "babied". In college, students have to study independently and know how to manage their own time. Because of this, I feel that earning my diploma online through an accredited school is just as good, if not better, than attending a public high school.
My ideal plan is to finish high school through Ashworth and graduate a year early. Because Ashworth doesn’t offer electives, I would then take several courses of my choice at the local community college to diversify my resume and stock-up as many extracurricular activities as I could in a year. I really want to go to Washington University in St. Louis to major in Anthropology and minor in Religious Studies. I think this is a good plan for me.
What else can I add to this to convince my dad that going to an online school will not ruin my future?
pvreditor — Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! I really like the idea of getting my GED, going to a community college for two years and then going on to a university.
My only concern is that I really want to go to Washington University in St. Louis, and while they do accept applicants who’ve received their GED’s, they are exceptionally "picky" about who they allow to attend their school. I will call one of their admission counselors and discuss both plans with them.
I know that at Washington U. they put a great deal of weight on your personal qualities and the application essay. Perhaps I could get in with an excellent essay!

First, if you are a sophomore in high school, you write better than most college graduates. Really. I used to be a magazine editor and still freelance for a few magazines, and you write as well as many professional writers. That’s a very strong point in your favor.

This is a cliche, but you get out of life what you put into it. If you want it badly enough, you could take this summer to study junior/senior level history, math and science, then take the GED exam and get your GED. Then next fall, start going to a community college and take real college courses. If you do well at the community college, you can transfer to LOTS of good schools — you could end up with a bachelors degree by the time you’re 20. If you are willing to work for it.

Be realistic… you will never get into Harvard or Stanford with this approach. However, it is perfectly reasonable and even admirable. If you completed something like this, many employers would be impressed and you could be off to an interesting career while your current high school friends are busy writing term papers.

Forget Ashworth and save your money. Study hard over the summer and get your GED. Then you can have a discussion with your dad about attending a local community college. Two years of that, and you’ll be ready to study religion, anthropology or whatever you decide.

Edit: My guess is that Washington University will be less interested in your GED than your grades at a community college. After all, if you were a college admissions officer, wouldn’t you be more impressed with a successful community college transcript than any high school diploma? It won’t be easy and there will be challenges, but it can be done.

Good luck!

So I’m in Grade 11 and it’s been about 1 month since school has started. (<– Which doesn’t mean much when considering whether to take these courses online) and I want to take my first 2 classes of the morning (Grade 11 University Preparation English and University Preparation Math) online and earn my credit that way. The main reason is that my Math teacher is absolutely horrific at teaching and all of the students in my class agree. I’m normally an 85% + student in math but this teacher is gonna end up teaching me nothing and I’ll end up with a 60%. I am probably the only one in my class willing to do something about it by deciding to take it online. Might as well because I am already teaching myself by reading the textbook, so learning online could only be a little more helpful..

Anyways, I have 4 classes per day and Math is 2nd period. 1st period is English which I’d want to take online as well just to make things easier and only have to arrive at school to attend 3rd and 4th period classes. I’m also having problems with the way my English teacher grades my work. So I would like to take both these classes online. ($40 per class through a certain website) Now some additional reasons I’d like to switch is because I’m absent a lot because I get sick a lot (mainly cause I stay up late to finish school work and get no sleep, affecting my health and making me sick more often) and I believe that taking these classes online wouldn’t affect attendance at all (cause It’s from my computer at home) and would truly be the best decision for me in my best interest and the best for my education. Now the only thing I need is for my principle to sign the applications to take these courses online. I’m not sure if he will though? What reasons does he have to not let me? I personally think I need this to help ease my workload and make my grades go up. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc.? Thanks!

As I know, this site has top listing of such college courses online – schools.iblogger.org

I am thinking about trying to earn my doctorate in psychology, starting next year, and one option i have been looking at is doing it online. I am wondering, would earning an advanced degree online make the learning process far more independent than at an actual university? Is earning a masters or doctorate with real life classes still a very independent process?

My experience at the master’s level is that there is very little difference between online coursework and in the seat coursework when comparing both at the same school.

For the most part, it’s about reading, researching, and writing — all as easily done from home as on campus. All done mostly on your own with guidance and direction for your professors and advisors.

Where you need to be careful is in your choice of school. Right now, there aren’t a lot of good online doctorates to pick from in the social sciences. If you wanted to go for an EdD in educational administration – there are plenty of well respected choices. Even a DBA is easy to find from a well respected university (but very expensive).

If your ultimate goal is private clinical practice then it doesn’t matter as much but if your goal is an academic appointment, pick carefully.

Add: Those who consider all online education a joke are generally very closed minded and a touch behind the times. This is 2007 not 1981. I am certain beyond any doubt that the online degrees at such places as Harvard, Boston U, UMass, et al… are far from being a joke. Just my opinion.

further: I don’t need to get drunk and smoke pot with the other "students" to gain social skills. Especially at this level, the socialization argument is 100% invalid. Socialize at church and work – learn at college. "Interaction" occurs at a much higher level when you are interacting with professionals whether online or in the class, the programs online tend to have professionals in them whereas the in the class courses have a load of wannabes and ne’r do wells. Just my opinion again though…
