Learn To Earn Online

I have been looking for an answer to this question for awhile. I have an aquaintance who’s friend is earning her nursing degree by doing the book work online and going to a classroom for only the clinical part. Does anyone have info on how to sign up w/ a school that offers this?

I am looking to study online/distance learning and earn a degree in theology or religious studies from an accredited school. My goal is to teach religion in school and possibly earn a masters/doctorate later. I am looking for something Catholic based to stay in line with my upbringing and future employment. The Accredited ones are Seminaries or Universities that have Theology that is accredited by ATS.
That way you can also teach in these Schools having ATS accreditation. Most of these Institutions are ecumenical in their approach. For example in Toronto School of Theology, roman catholics, anglicans, and united share the same Theological school, but each college is part of the University’s theological school. Like St. Michael of the Roman catholic, the Trinity and Wyclifffe of the Anglicans, and Emmanuel College of United and Knox College of the the Presbyterians.

I’m a single stay at home mother looking to earn an associates degree online in the health care tech field. Ive applied to a couple online schools including Devry online, and the cost is very high, financial aid doesnt begin to cover most of it. Does anyone have any advice thats been in my situation? Online colleges certainly are very expensive.For single mothers to get into them is even a more difficult task. Heard the news lately? president Obama has announced some policies for single mothers getting back to school but I dont have much details on them. Perhaps you could find more on this on your own. I’ve heard a lot of people are biased against college degrees earned online. I think that’s pretty ignorant. I mean, you learn the same thing online as on a campus. Why does it matter as long as you passed and have earned your degree?

I mean, I know it’s at your home, but you still have to buckle down on your studies, and pass your exams.

Classroom and out-of-class interaction in an academic environment is a big part of getting an education. This is missing in online courses. True education is supposed to be a wrenching, total upheaval of a student’s thinking. This takes four years of campus immersion (OK, three in some countries).

It is easy to spot a person whose bachelor’s degree was obtained totally on-line.

The other reason such degrees are held in low regard is that historically, online ("correspondence") courses were often sold by substandard schools, often not much more than diploma mills appealing to people who get their information from comic books.

These degrees are not worth the cost of printing them.

I am looking for a good website to find different college/university to do online. Is there anything like accredited or something that really work to work though degree online? I know that some are expensive but I trying to get diploma before I can get certificate but I don’t know if penn foster, strayer, ashworth, sanford or other that offers diploma online to do. I work a lot at my job but try to find something to do online to learn and earn it.
